Attribution and impact

From a post to the order it brought in.

When your orders and invoices are connected, LocalPulse credits each sale that carries a campaign's code, a referral or a salesperson, and estimates the lift in sales inside each campaign's geofence. Direct and estimated are always shown apart.

01

Direct: sales that carry the campaign

A campaign code, a referral and a salesperson can all sit on one sale, and any number of each.

01

Codes, referrals, salespeople

Put a campaign's code on the order or invoice through a coupon, a POS field or an ERP field.

02

A fair split

Codes come first, then referrals, then salespeople. A sale with several is split evenly unless you weight them.

03

Booked and billed

Orders and invoices are reported apart, so booked and billed revenue never mix.

02

Estimated: the lift inside the geofence

For a campaign with locations.

01

Against its own baseline

Sales in the campaign's ZIPs after its posts are compared with the weeks before, adjusted for season.

02

Against a control

ZIPs outside every geofence show what would have happened anyway.

03

Never counted twice

Coded sales are left out of the estimate, and the estimate is never added to direct revenue.

What if my sales aren't connected?

Attention is measured either way. Each impact card shows how to connect your orders and invoices and an example, clearly labeled as illustrative.
